Interacts and maintains a positive attitude at all times. Supervises public safety officers and reports to the manager for any coaching or corrective actions that officers may need. Performs performance reviews for assigned officers and reports them to the manager to review and submit. Performs a variety of duties to ensure the welfare of patients, employees, and visitors; protects grounds, buildings, equipment and supplies of the hospital; makes decisions on the best way to obtain and maintain the security of the hospital, patients, employees and visitors within departmental and hospital guidelines.

- 1.1 Must have knowledge of and enforce all hospital, Public Safety dept. policies. Educates public safety officers in any new policies, procedures, equipment or techniques.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED graduate. BS in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year Security, Law enforcement or Military experience and training background required.
LICENSURE
Requires certifications including Baton, handcuffing and O.C. Foam. Valid Driver's license required. Must be able to obtain Pistol Permit if needed/when required.
