Primary Purpose:

The Quality and Regulatory Analyst is skilled in the quality, food safety and regulatory fields, with a focus on improvement of processes in these areas to reduce cost and risk. The position includes in-depth knowledge of quality management systems, food safety management systems (including pet food and pharma requirements), hazardous chemical reporting and federal and state-level regulatory requirements applicable to products commercialized by the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Supports internal team members by providing guidance, direction and interpretation of quality standards and systems, health and safety laws and regulations
  • Serves as a primary point of escalation internally and externally for all compliance-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with the company's health andsafety policies and procedures, including reporting of all hazards to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment is maintained
  • Partners with cross functional leaders to ensure processes, systems, and policies are in place to support and implement compliance activity and best-practices for imports, exports, and product handling as governed by the safety data sheet
  • Supports the qualification (approval) of new supplier and new products and maintenance of their qualified status
  • Review and maintain all necessary product collateral
  • Handles requests related to supplier and product information as well as complete customer questionnaires, as applicable
  • Leads or assists the development or updating of company policies and standard operating procedures in alignment with applicable regulations
  • Report on key facts and metrics pertinent to quality and regulatory management as to ensure timely management and corrective actions are carried out
  • May coordinate and/or execute internal and external quality audits
  • May assist with product releases and maintenance of for active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)

What You'll Need:

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, Business Administration, or related fields from a fully accredited four-year institution
  • 5+ years' experience in quality/regulatory or related field
  • Experience working for ISO9001:2015 certified facility of other highly regulated qualitysystem preferred
  • Experience working for GFSI compliant facility preferred (FSSC22000 or BRC, or SQF or IFS certification)
  • PCQI & FSVP certification preferred

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
  • Proficient with safety data sheets
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of applicable corporate, federal, state and local regulatory requirements for product, environmental, and general regulatory compliance
  • Exhibits versatility when interacting with customers, suppliers, and outsourced relationships
  • Highly adaptable, self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and initiative

Where You'll Work:

This is a hybrid role. Office location: Bellevue, WA. Preference for candidates located in the greater Seattle area.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $75,200 - $112,800. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
