Department 440: Payload Launch Control Systems Engineering group supporting VIRGINIA Undersea Dominance programs.
Department 440 has a systems engineering team supporting Undersea Dominance submarine programs. The systems engineering team is responsible for the development of new payloads and technologies that give our submarines global advantage. System engineers may be called upon to perform many diverse tasks during the project life cycle:

Systems engineers set the design and concepts of operations for overall systems, and may occasionally assess detailed designs. Systems engineers develop and review requirements and interface documents. The position requires the engineer to interface with NAVSEA, Naval Shipyards, Government vendors, sub-contractors and other EB departments and stakeholders as necessary. Travel is not required but may be requested to help facilitate cooperation subcontractors and stakeholders.
