SEA CORP has an opening for a full-time, senior-level Configuration Management Specialist in Newport, RI, to provide support to the OHIO Class Configuration Management (CM)/Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) group at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC). This position is responsible for maintaining the SAS database for assigned subsystems by creating Design Documentation Package (DDP) records, creating Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) sheets, performing Weapon System File Transfers (WSFTs) for applicable records, processing 4790/CKs submitted by installation activities, maintaining/updating baseline records, as well as developing alteration installation status reports. Other responsibilities include developing WSFT status charts and accessing CDMD-OA to verify successful WSFTs and retrieve Allowable Parts Lists (APLs) as well as support Physical Configuration audits.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills and possess self-motivation. They must also possess the ability to work well within a team and manage their time effectively. This position will have normal business hours.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in any field and a minimum of 10 years of experience is required for this position. An Associate’s Degree or equivalent plus 5 years of additional specifically related experience in a field is considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree. The advanced technical training curricula packages provided to former military personnel will be considered the equivalent of a Technical Diploma (e.g., Navy Technical Training “A” or “B” School) or Associate’s Degree (e.g., Naval Advanced Training “C” School) in the technical field of expertise.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance are required.
