SEA CORP has an opening for a part-time on call Underwater Acoustic Reverberation Expert that will be based out of Newport, RI, starting in January 2018. The SEACORP team working at the NUWC Weapon Analysis Facility is looking for a part-time consultant to work on reverberation algorithm development. There will be no travel involved with this position, and this position will have an atypical work schedule. This position will involve some customer interaction and collaboration with peers on assigned tasking as well as involve data analysis and programming.
The ideal candidate for this position must be able to utilize creative thinking in problem solving and should have significant experience with underwater acoustics and reverberation models, broadband signal processing and real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulations. They should be proficient with C, C++ and Matlab development tools. The Underwater Acoustic Reverberation Expert will be familiar with distributed processing techniques and real-time programming.
Required Education and Experience:
This position requires a Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering as well as 15+ years of experience.
US Citizenship and a DoD Secret security clearance are required.
