Job Description
Job Summary:
SEA CORP an opening for a part-time Senior Systems Engineer in Middletown, RI starting in February 2018. This position requires expert working knowledge of the SSN 688 and VIRGINIA Class VLS including its associated ancillary equipment and the interface and control of these systems with Submarine Launched Missiles.  The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical engineering principles as they apply to the design of VLS. This position requires initiative, originality, sound judgment, and the ability to plan coordinate and maintain progress of a series of long-term complex interrelated projects/tasks as well as knowledge of Submarine Fire Control Systems and their Missile/Launcher Interface design requirements. Light traveling may be required for this role, ranging from day trips to overnights.

Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Engineering Field and a minimum of 10 years of experience.

The candidate must have the ability to evaluate all SSN 688/VIRGINIA Class VLS System operations and must have had recent experience in the development and conduct of such evaluations. The candidate must also possess the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to direct others in the test, evaluation, and repair of VLS. Knowledge of integrated systems test methods and concepts is required in order to defend and conduct tests, evaluate results, isolate system problems, and make design recommendations.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance are required.
