Job Description
Job Summary:

SEA CORP has an opening for a Test Engineer in Manassas, Virginia and Middletown, Rhode Island. The selected applicant will ensure functional and technical specifications and standards are met, as well as investigate software/hardware interface problems with the applications of BYG-1. Additional responsibilities include developing/modifying test plans, test procedures, and test reports. While this position will mostly have regular business hours, some travel may be required.

The chosen candidate must have ability to work under general supervision, have the ability to multi-task, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. The candidate must also be a proven self-starter with the ability take task ownership of assigned tasks and independently determine the approach to develop solutions. The candidate must also be proficient in Microsoft Office. The most qualified candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team of personnel. The candidate must have AN/BYG-1 Fire Control System experience. 

Education and Experience:

Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering Field and 3-7 years of experience. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) and 7 years’ experience in military systems (e.g., service abroad a naval ship) and 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering can be substituted for the Bachelors of Science degree requirement. An Associate Degree or equivalent (the advanced technical training curricula packages provided to former military personnel will be considered the equivalent of a technical diploma, e.g., Navy Technical Training “A” or “B” School; or associate degree, e.g., Naval Advanced Training “C” School) in the technical field of expertise plus 5 years of additional specifically-related experience in a field is considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
 
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret Clearance is a must.
