Job Description
Job Summary:
 
SEA CORP is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to work under the direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and will based out of Middletown, RI. This position will support the design, development, evaluation and accreditation of information management systems used to process classified information. The ISSM will be responsible for collaborating closely with the FSO, IT, and US Government accrediting agencies to identify appropriate security control baselines and ensure they are implemented in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), the Defense Security Service (DSS) Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM). As a collateral duty, the ISSM will also serve as a company IT staff member responsible for various IT duties, including working the Continuous Monitoring program.
 
The ISSM is responsible for working with the CIO and FSO on various initiatives including but not limited to:
  • Configuring and review various operating systems to meet NISPOM and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.
  • Develop System Security Plan (SSP) and documentation for new and existing information systems to include Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA), Risk Acceptance Letters (RAL), and Continuous Monitoring (CONMON).
  • Scheduling, performing, and maintaining records of required IS auditing, patching, maintenance, software/hardware changes, and scanning based on evolving threat/vulnerabilities and customer compliance requirements.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing an Information Systems Security Program.
  • Perform periodic audits, inspections, tests and reviews of the Information Security program to ensure that systems are operating as authorized/accredited and that conditions have not changed. 
  • Investigate security incidents to include data spills, data integrity incidents and malicious code incidents.
  • Brief users on their responsibilities with regard to IS security and verify contractor personnel are trained on the ISS prescribed security restrictions and safeguards before they are allowed to access a system.
 
Experience and Education
 
Candidates must be knowledgeable of information technology and security principles as well as possess the ability to work in a multi-tasking environment that demands excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills. Candidates must be knowledgeable of industry standards, advances in technology, and changes to relevant laws.
Bachelor’s degree in an IT or Security related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology, preferably with 3 years as an ISSO or ISSM and/or 3 years of experience with information assurance/cybersecurity requirements.

Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearance. A current Secret level clearance is preferred.
