SEA CORP has two openings for Software Integration Specialists in Middletown, RI. Selected applicants will work as part of a large software development team on control systems to be deployed on naval SSN platforms. As a Software Integration Specialist, the position requires expertise in defining and improving software build procedures and build deployment techniques. Candidates should be knowledgeable of network configurations and various software development and configuration management tools with skills in system troubleshooting. Candidates should be able to evaluate hardware performance specifications in order to provide recommendations on future acquisition plans. Candidates should have solid documentation skills and comfort in presenting information in formal settings. Previous software integration experience with the AN/BYG-1 systems is highly desirable.
Collaboration with team members and interaction with customers requires strong interpersonal, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills in addition to strong programming and problem-solving abilities. Creative thinking, ability to analyze data, self-motivation and organizational skills are desired.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of technical experience. Equivalent direct experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Candidates should be highly comfortable with Linux, C++, Java, system performance monitoring, reliability considerations, fail-over considerations and integration of commercial products.
U.S. citizenship and current DOD Secret clearance are required.
