Job Description
Job Summary:

SEA CORP has an opening for a Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) Engineer in Newport, RI. The selected applicant will serve as technical support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center team and execute interface design and integration efforts for the SWFTS Systems on submarines. The SWFTS Engineer will work with and report to the SWFTS Chief Engineer.  Responsibilities include participating in test events, utilization diagnostic and test tools, modeling support with commercial tool sets, participation in SWFTS engineering meetings and provide support for Platform Integration activities, including review of Government Furnished Information (GFI) for technical quality.

Education and Experience:
 
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with SWFTS or Combat System products and activities such as Interface Management, Integration and Test, and Systems Engineering. The best candidate for this position will also understand Technical Insertion (TI) Advanced Processor Build (APB) SWFTS update cycle with knowledge of the Baseline Change Request (BCR) process. Cybersecurity knowledge and IAT/IAM certifications is a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) and 7 years’ experience in military systems (e.g., service abroad a naval ship) can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering. The ideal candidate would have 5 to 10 year's Combat System experience.
 

U.S. citizenship and current DOD Secret clearance are required.
