Job Summary:
Electrical and electronics engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar and navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities. Electrical and electronics engineers work closely with computers. Electrical and electronics engineers specialize in different areas such as power generation, transmission, distribution, communications, and electrical equipment manufacturing. Electrical and electronics engineers design new products, write performance requirements, and develop maintenance schedules. They also test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.
Required Education and Experience:
- Electrical testing and troubleshooting experience
- Breadboard engineering and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with 3-Phase Delta & Wye Power Sources
- Testing/working in a military environment
- Various topics listed in 1399-300B, such as, inrush current, current harmonics, common-mode noise, etc.
- Experience working with Filters, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS's), etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to provide Power Technical Reviews on test plans and test reports
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering
- 3-7 years working experience
Preferred Experience:
- LabVIEW development
- Submarine experience
- Experience working with Power Supplies
