Job Summary: The individual will often be tasked with product development from initial specification to final rollout and maintenance within an agile development environment. The ability to communicate with Fleet, Government, and Contractor personnel throughout the life cycle is essential.
Essential Capabilities:
Ability to listen to customer requirements, perform analysis and document software and/or system requirements either in the form of a detailed requirements specification and/or prototype.
Ability to design and develop software end-products within a team environment.
Ability to create test scenarios to unit test all software or products.
Desired Capabilities:
Objected Oriented Design and Development using C++.
Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) / Design representation using UML/SYSML
Knowledge of Virtualization and/or Container technology, Kubernetes Orchestrator
Network Communication protocols such as AMQP, ZeroMQ, CORBA, TCPIP Sockets
QT Development particularly under Linux
Ability to model mechanical and electrical objects using 3D drawing tools or work with 3D models provided by another engineer.
Object animation using nGRAIN, Unity or similar tools to interact with 3D models
WEB technologies / development WEB applications
Information Assurance, Cybersecurity knowledge/experience with posture transitions and IAT/IAM Certifications.
Relational Database and high performance data distribution
Education and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Gaming, Engineering, or Information Technology or other computer technology-based degree. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) will also be accepted with evidence of desired capabilities.
Military service or applicable experience can be substituted based on 2 years’ service/experience for each degree year.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearance is required; current clearance a plus!
